Citykleta (hereafter referred to as “Citykleta”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) sells their activities, tours, events (the “Service” or “Services”) over this website (the “Site”) and third party platforms as: Airbnb.com, Freetour.com, and ToursByLocals.com. These Terms and Conditions do not override or make conflicts with third party platforms where we also sell our “Services”. THIRD PARTY PLATFORMS AND WEBSITES HAVE THEIR OWN BOOKING PROCEDURES; YOU SHOULD REFER THEM TO LEARN ABOUT THEIR POLICIES. The Services are available at Citykleta.com and other platforms through which Citykleta chose for and any related applications (the “Application”). These Terms and Conditions began effective since you access to our Site, Application, Content and Services. “Content” means text, graphics, images, music, audio, video, information or other materials. The action of these Terms and Conditions extends to the travelers (Co-travelers) that you related in your booking. If you reserved through Airbnb, the Airbnb Cancellation Policy applies.

Please plan to arrive 15 minutes early for your scheduled tour.

1 Cancellation, Modification and Refunds Policy

Since you contract our Services at Citykleta.com, you can cancel or modify your reservation. Cancellation and modification requests must be submitted via email to [email protected] and are not considered valid until a representative of Citykleta confirms receipt of the same in writing. Your cancellation or modification request runs under following conditions:

1. Rescheduling your confirmed booking is free of charge and only possible (two times) up to 72 hours (3 days) prior to original time of the activity. We have to check availability for a time and date in our schedule.
2. We offers 100% refund if you cancel 30 days prior to the scheduled Service.
3. We offers 60% refund if you cancel up 72 hours (3 days) prior to the scheduled Service.
4. We does not offer refunds if cancelled less than 72 hours before the scheduled Service or No Show.

1.1 Bad Weather Policy

We understand that a bad weather may be a non-predicted situation; then exceptionally you can ask for the bike tour cancellation. This take effect when group representative contacts Citykleta at least 2 hour before the start of the planned tour. Then, a 100% of paid amount for the tour will be refund.

All of our tours still run under rain or shine, when we have rain ponchos available in our shop for $2 CUC (refunded if not used). In the event of continuous heavy rain or for lack of ponchos:

1. We offer a replacement activity, like walking tour, instead of the bike tour,
2. Alternatively, you can reschedule the bike tour to another time and date. The guide should help you in this operation.

In the case that the Service was already running, the group can cancel, but no refunds are available.

1.2 Improper Behavior

We reserve the right to cancel the Service when you have harmful behavior on event, activity or tour even you was warned. In this case, you have no rights to claim for the amount paid for the Service or any refunds. Extra costs, like move the bike back to the bike shop or you must pay indemnification for damage to the bike.

2 Content

You will not use, copy, adapt, modify, prepare derivative works of, distribute, sell, transfer, publicly display, publicly perform, transmit or broadcast the Citykleta website contents. You are except of this when you are the author and you handed over (free) your creation to us as a previous collaboration. 

3 Limitation of Liability

Citykleta is not going to check if you are or not capable to use a bicycle properly. From your side, you assure us that you know how ride in a bike in urban, suburban or rural areas.

4 Booking and Payment

You are responsible for providing accurate information during the booking process. Citykleta requires the Service to be booked in its entirety, before start the Service. This payment can easily has made by credit card via our Site. If online booking system and payment by credit card is not a preferred option, please contact us to arrange an alternative option. The Service has not considered confirmed until it is paid.

5 Safety

Since Cuba is not bike friendly, we tour round anywhere with no bike lanes, no bike traffic lights. You must obey local traffic regulations. To prevent accidents caused by distraction, you will not wear headphones, earphones or hold your phone, tablet or camera with hand while riding the bike. Potholes are common in the street of Havana; it is your responsibility also to watch out for holes in the road. We rather stop at a certain highlight to give some background information and time for photos than do this while on the road.

5.1 Health Insurance

We do not provide health insurance with the Service. Cuba requires you, as a foreigner, to purchase health insurance coverage for the duration of your stay. You should acquire it in your destination country before travel, if apply.

5.2 Safety Measures

We will optionally provide you with helmet and safety vest at night. When the Service include the Guide, this will help you with arms indications during the tour. However, you may participate of our activities at your own risk. You must decide yourself if you are in an appropriate state to be able to safely complete the activity.

Nevertheless, it is important that participants abide by traffic rules and follow the instructions of our guides. Citykleta is not liable for injury or damage caused by willful or negligent behavior from you.

5.3 Accidents

We do the most to avoid the risk, but in case that an accident happens, we will assist you. We will call the medical services when your injury is serious.

6 The Services

A contractual Service is valid when you confirm your reservation, when we confirm your booking or order, and you join to a free event, activity or tour.

6.1 The Bicycles

We are not liable for damage caused by bad performance of the provided bicycle, or your own private bicycle during the Service. Before the Service begins, you must ensure that the bike is working properly and comfortably for you.

6.2 Itinerary

We cannot guarantee an exact adherence to the planned route. The original route may variate when there is blocked street, building under construction or demolition. Each guide may make appropriate changes to the tour, as the given conditions require.

6.3 Liability over the Equipment

It´s your obligation to return the equipment in good working order and without damage. You will pay for repair costs for damaged incurred to the equipment during the Service.

6.4 Prices

1. All prices provided for Join-in tours are on a per person basis unless otherwise mentioned.
2. All prices provided for Private tours are on a per group basis (total number of travelers) unless otherwise mentioned.
3. Prices do not include tips, personal expenses, or travel insurance. If in doubt whether something is included in the price of the Service, please inquire.

6.5 Meeting Points

Our Services start from different points around the city. By starting closer to the area we want to explore, we can offer you the best experience. We will give you all the necessary info to get the meeting point. It´s your responsibility to get there in time.

6.6 Office-less

Citykleta have not headquartered at specific place. Instead, our partners in town work as our sell / information point, bikes stock and technical assistance. We try to be the most online is possible in order to be available when you need us. Anyway, before arriving in Cuba, you must keep our contact information with you.

6.7 Start Time and Punctuality

We start the Service on time. You will get the meeting point at least 10 minutes before the schedule time. We reserve the right to delay the tour when we need.

7 Privacy and Cookies

Your information will not be disclosed to any third party and will only be used for the purpose of this website.
